Ground Labs Showcases PCI Data Discovery at Cards & Payments Australasia 2011
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sydney, Australia, March 22, 2011— Ground Labs, a global leader in the development of security and auditing software solutions for the payment card industry, recently announced its sponsorship of Cards & Payments Australasia 2011.
"This is an important industry event attended by representatives from financial institutions, merchants, service providers and industry stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific," says Stephen Cavey, Director of Corporate Development for Ground Labs. "Sponsoring the event goes hand in hand with our commitment to support the PCI compliance efforts of organisations throughout the region."
Mr. Cavey’s presentation, "We thought we were PCI compliant - until cardholder data discovery was performed," will discuss the importance of performing cardholder data discovery to identify non-compliant cardholder data storage and highlight common misconceptions of PCI compliance. He will speak on Monday, March 28 at 3:30pm in the Retail Payment Solutions theatre on the main exhibition hall.
The following day, Ajay Unni, CEO and Principal Client Partner of Sydney-based Stickman Consulting, will speak on "Cutting the Cost of Compliance." Stickman Consulting is a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) that provides information security services throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific market and is one of Ground Labs’ key partners. Mr. Unni’s presentation will explore strategies for reducing the costs of maintaining PCI Compliance, including the use of Ground Lab’s flagship PCI compliance solutions, Card Recon and Enterprise Recon.
"Card Recon and Enterprise Recon are powerful tools that help organisations identify the scope of PCI Compliance and reduce preparation time for PCI onsite reviews," says Mr. Cavey. "A conference such as Cards & Payments provides a way for us to reach out to organisations of this region that are most at risk for non-compliant cardholder data storage." The two-day event will include live demonstrations of Card Recon and Enterprise Recon in booth D17 and D18 of the exhibition hall.
"Cards & Payments has invited many well-known speakers in the PCI compliance industry,” says Mr. Unni. "We’re pleased to speak alongside renowned industry professionals." In particular, he notes that Mr. Bob Russo, General Manager of the PCI Security Standards Council, will provide a keynote address on improving data security standards through PCI compliance in the payments fraud and security conference stream.
Now in its 16th year, Cards & Payments Australasia 2011 is the region’s largest gathering of professionals in the cards and payment industry. The two-day event covers payment innovation, card portfolio strategies, customer acquisition, loyalty and retention, business models, government payments, partnerships, prepaid solutions, payment fraud and security, and digital identity. More than 50 solution providers will participate in the event’s main exhibition, which is open to the public at no cost.
This year’s event will be held March 28-29 at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney, Australia. For more information about Cards & Payments Australasia 2011, visit www.terrapinn.com/2011/cards/index.stm.
